Pilar de la Oradada is a coastal town located in the province of Alicante, on the Costa Blanca, on the border with Murcia, 18 km from Torrevieja and 68 km from Alicante.
Pilar de la Horadada has a warm Mediterranean climate, which means that you can enjoy the sun and warmth 300 days a year. The beach season, like everywhere else on the Costa Blanca,
can last from May to October. Precipitation is rare, and winters are warm.
Pilar de la Horadada occupies an advantageous position: between the provinces of Alicante and Murcia. To the airport of Murcia-San Javier – about 15 minutes by car, to the airport of Alicante-Elche – about 50. Relatively close to Pilar de la Horadada are such cities as Torrevieja (19 km), Cartagena (45 km), Alicante (84 km), Murcia (54 km), Orihuela (40 km), Benidorm (130 km), etc. Archena Balneological Resort is an hour's drive away.
Pilar de la Horadada is clearly divided into three zones: the first is coastal. This includes the districts of Mil Palmeras, Pueblo Latino, Torre de la Horadada, El Mojón. The second zone is the city itself – Zona Pueblo. It is located at some distance from the sea and has no access to the beaches. The third zone – Pinar de Campoverde is located at the foot of the Sierra Escalona mountain range.
